From 17 May 2018 to 7 March 2021, the CPN-UML and the CPN-MC appeared as a merged party under the name NCP. Since the Supreme Court ruled this action illegitimate on 7 March, both parties are again listed separately under their original names. The links to the CPN-UML (i.e. to the present Oli faction) are therefore collected again in their original UML file. The links to the CPN-MC are again collected in this file on Maoist parties for the time being, although this party is no longer identical with the party of the same name before the merger with the CPN-UML, which has now been declared illegitimate. Further developments remain to be seen.
